Sable Falls

Took the scenic route to Munising, my favorite city in Northern Michigan. Unfortunately, the scenic route is more than twice as long as the normal route (because most of it is on a rough, dirt road on which you can only do about 15 mph), and we wanted to get back to camp before it got dark. Needless to say, we didn't actually make it over to Munising. But we did go about halfway!
It was 169 steps down, and about a mile long, to see the entirety of Sable Falls, including the mouth of the Sable River which leads out into Lake Superior.
This is part of the river... long exposure.
(The hike back up isn't quite as fun.)

I'm sorry. Yeah, I couldn't live where there isn't anything beautiful. There's no big bodies of water unless I drive for an hour. But it's worth it, right?
